What is it? Fluorite’s name is derived from latin word “flier” meaning “melting” or which flows and fluorite has lent name to property of fluorescence, vivid glowing colors under ultraviolet light. Fluorite has been used to assist to cleanse mental related energies, such as psychic debris, mind chatter, negative thinking.
How to identify fluorite: Fluorite is made up of calcium fluorite, which can be found in a variety of colors, such as purple, green, blue, aqua, green, yellow, pink, black, red, and “rainbow,” which consists of the color combination of green, blue, or purple. An example of rainbow fluorite is shown in the image above.
Uses for fluorite: Fluorite is a versatile crystal that has been used for protection, healing, and development primarily for the third eye and crown chakras. If you’ve been feeling like you could use a boost in mental focus, creativity, and psychic development and protection, working with fluorite is said to energize and clear blockages in those areas.
Fun fact: Fluorite pairs well with other crystals such as black tourmaline, smokey quartz, lapis lazuli, labradorite, pink tourmaline, and other crystals that are formed with calcite.
Spiritual & metaphysical uses for fluorite: Fluorite has a cooling, stabilizing energy, that releases energy from your bio-field with the etheric, emotional, and mental auric layers. While fluorite is primarily known as a third eye crystal, it also works to heal and clear the crown, throat, heart, and solar plexus chakras. While incorporating fluorite into your meditation or spiritual practice, it can be used to assist in mediumship and connecting with spiritual realms.
