May 2023 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio
Happy full moon everybody! Are you feeling this intense energy? Even though the Farmer’s Almanac calls this full moon the “Flower Moon,” the energy of this lunation is all but sunshine, rainbows & unicorns if you catch my drift…
We are presently experiencing not only a full moon in Scorpio, which will bring up deep emotional release and purging negative energy, we are still in mercury retrograde AND Pluto retrograde! The energy of Scorpio will bring up the shadow aspects of ourselves, which can of course, feel very uncomfortable! Scorpio also represents death, rebirth, and passion/sex. During this time, allow yourself to feel your emotions and release whatever is coming up for you. Some may feel energetically drained, experience headaches or insomnia, while others may feel fired up, passionate and energized while pushing forward toward your goals-thanks to the sun in Taurus.
You can use this transit to your advantage as eclipses present opportunities for instantaneous, significant change and transformation. With that said, I highly suggest practicing meditation, yoga, journaling, or another grounding exercise to assist in remaining present in your body, connecting to your root chakra, and allowing whatever emotions and energies that are being released to properly do so through your root chakra.
It is important to note that this lunation falls upon May 5th (5/5), and having studied angel numbers and numerology, the full moon eclipse has auspicious divine timing in culmination with the energies the number 5 carries. Number 5 represents major changes and opportunities that have either entered or are about to enter your life! The vibration of angel numbers 5, 55, or 555 is all about taking action and just ‘go for it.’ For you, my friend, it’s ‘pedal to the metal’ entering this next phase in your life and it’s all happening at a rapid pace! This wouldn’t be happening for you now if 1). the Universe didn’t think you were ready for these big changes, and 2) these changes are for your highest good. The message behind repeating number 555 says to keep an open mind about opportunities that present themselves because your prayers may be answered in ways that you could never have imagined.
Like many repeating numbers, 555 is also a sign to deepen your spiritual practices, continue asking the angels and Universe for help, and listen to your intuition. Trust that you are ready to ‘level up’ and that you are being supported and protected by your guides every step of the way. You are not alone!
Reflecting on the full moon lunar eclipse, a helpful ritual to release what no longer serves you may be writing down what you’d like to release on a piece of paper, then burning it (done in a safe environment of course!) Dispose of the cooked ashes back to the Earth when you are done and thank the universe for assisting in your healing and release.
